What is the purpose of this site?

The main purpose of this site is to allow you to easily find suitable partner to learn languages. In order to do that you can specify different search criteria such as native language, practicing language, country and age range. You can use different search options that allow you to find even like-minded persons even from your city. As soon as you find the partner you can send a message both to the person`s Language-Connect Inbox or person`s private e-mail that is specified during the registration. Note: Please read our policy about how we protect your e-mail address from being used.

Is it free?

Yes, this service is FREE. Further more you are able to make a search without registering into the system. However, in order to send the message to a partner you have to identify your self through the registration. Also keep in mind that as soon as you logged in all search fields will be pre-filled and therefore make you search easier. You can also share your knowledge about language learning both general knowledge and particular issues between the others. How to find a partner for languages learning?

We offer three types of search: Direct Search, Reverse Search and Associate Search. The differences between the three are:

Direct Search - This option is a "usual" search that allows you to find partners who knows your target language and/or leaving in your target country.

Reverse Search - You can use this option in order to know who is looking for you. Thus you are entering YOUR native language and YOUR leaving country. The result will return partners who are eager to know more about it.

Associate Search- Using this search option you are looking for partners who share the same interest like yours and located in the same or another city/country. In short, you can find partners from your city who are interested to know more about a particular language that you are learning.

How do I register?

Simply click to Register button and start filling the fields. Almost all fields are mandatory. This will help you to use search options because fields will be pre-filled or help others to find you. There are two sections in Register window: private data that will never be shown to other visitors and public data that will be shown as you profile. As soon as you will complete the registration process the system will send you a message with your temporary password. You can use them to login or just click to a link. After that you are able to change your profile data at any time.

What are descriptions and articles?

During the registration process you will be asked to enter the description and write the article. What is the difference between the two? In the description you are writing about your self: who you are, why you are learning a language, etc. This field is mandatory. In the article field you are writing about your experience in learning languages in general or about particular issues in learning your target language. These articles will be published in a home page of the site so that other visitors can see them and vote. Registered members will see only articles that are relates to their target languages and therefore will be more interested in it. This field is optional and you might not write the article. However we encourage share your experience that is always unique between the others.
